Are people not very religious in Seattle?
Do you confess your faith whatever you believe? Or is it better not to cast your pearls before swine?
Government inquisitors who ask people personal questions about eligion really don't deserve any more answers than they get from the atheists or agnostics.

If you are a believer, government pollsters and Catholic inquisitors cannot be knocking on your door out of any genuine interest or desire or willingness to have meaningful or deep conversations about your religion. Nor are they there to invite you to their religious services or to be receptive of your particular religious beliefs other than noting them for official government records and moving on to the next subject.
Barns and stables, like where Jesus was born, smell, obviously, but this is a particularly powerful stench coming from somewhere else.
