First of all, some of these girls are appearing considerably older than their I.D. documents, and there’s something called “chronological age,” which is not precisely ascertainable, apart from the said documents. And then later on in life they either disappear with other documents or else they considerably outlive their husbands on life insurance mortality tables.

Second, the story is getting too tall in court for “child enticement and two counts of abduction of a child” at the age of 16, which is already an “age of consent” where cops really can’t get warrants in court for kiddo charges like that anymore.
