This is the VIP angle for defense against gunfire. Sorry, Democrats. Gun control just doesn’t make it to the upper floors of tall buildings downtown. The same city slickers who don’t seem to mind at all being hustled on the street by cops without due process are sure pretty exacting of due process for cops entering apartments, which are their own homes.
If you’re a VIP, you have Secret Service or equivalent agents scanning rooflines and windows looking for snipers’ nests everywhere you go that people recognize you and know it’s you.
What to watch for here is the same failure that led to the near-assassination of Donald Trump. In that case an unsecured barn roof near a large public event, but here any window that opens in a tall building.
