Sudden death at 43? No decent healthcare for federal employees, let alone the rest of us in this medically crippled country?

¶They arrived to find 43-year-old Jessica Aber, former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, dead at the scene, police reported. It was not immediately clear if the home belonged to Aber, or who had contacted police. ¶Her cause of death will be determined by the Virginia medical examiner's office. A friend of the family told CBS News Aber's death is "believed to be the result of a longstanding medical issue."

A simple statement of condolences when socially appropriate or where it would be very awkward not to say anything at all. Other than that, it’s quite a “district” going on, and the eulogizing needs to be limited. There are people who frequent too many funerals, wakes, visitations, viewings, celebrations of life, etc. and there's potluck which is risky indeed, and catered events hastily arranged without security clearance which are likewise risky. Others who work for or within the justice system are going to be looking for excuses to duck out of social engagements at work, or limit themselves to social functions involving their own families.

Ms Aber, 43, was appointed by former President Joe Biden in 2021. She stepped down in January when Donald Trump took office.
The sort of thing a U.S. attorney would or should be prosecuting.
